This incident follows another recent tragedy where another young man, 18-year-old Hikmatullah from Chaman, was shot and killed by armed robbers near Karachi's Ghani Chowrangi. Hikmatullah, who had recently arrived in Karachi seeking employment and worked at the electronics market in Saddar, was targeted for his mobile phone. He reportedly offered some resistance before being shot by the assailants who then fled the scene.
